“The program Mary Beth has started is one so needed for transition of students and families. In our situation, Mary Beth gave our students and staff the opportunity to learn techniques to better understand how to support the child and family in transitioning back to school during treatment and to understand/accept that some days may not be the child’s best. We all came away with applicable takeaways, and gained a lot of value and insight from the core principals taught. Being in the medical profession, I found Mary Beth extremely compassionate and this is clearly her area of expertise. We are all better people for having her in our school and community. She has gone above and beyond for the family in our school as well as all of us. I feel anyone who is lucky enough to have her help in transitioning them during one of the most difficult times in their life will be a better person for having met her. “

"Mary Beth Nichols instantly connected with my son at an emotional level. She is so sincere and truly connects with the children from the heart. She was quickly able to integrate my son back into the classroom, while simultaneously making all the kids in the class completely aware and comfortable with his condition. Ms. Nichols was continuously involved in my son's academic, social, and emotional well being throughout the school year. We had a great year because she was there by his side. She is engaging, fun, sympathetic, and organized, leading to a very well established relationship between herself and the child. We trust her wholeheartedly and are so grateful to have her with us on this journey with our son."
